A Gift to Remember: A Bluebird Nest and a Wish from the Heart

By Raymond McKinney

Birthdays are special days-filled with cake, candles, and wishes whispered into the air like secrets carried off by the wind. But for Melinda, this birthday was more than just turning eight. It was about a wish she had carried deep in her heart, quiet and gentle, like the flutter of tiny wings.

Melinda's birthday wish was simple.

This is the story of how that wish came true in the most unforgettable way. A story about patience, kindness, and the unexpected gifts that nature and life can bring when we believe with all our hearts.

A Gift to Remember begins with one little girl, one big wish, and the flutter of blue wings on Guy Crips Bayou.
