A Flame Between Shadows - Book II
The fire no longer waits to be spoken.
The Vault has changed. It no longer stores knowledge-it shapes it. And the sentence it has begun to write moves through the world without ink, carried in breath, in silence, in the space between names once erased.
Elenora, once archivist, once flamebearer, no longer holds authority over the memory she helped preserve. What rises now cannot be contained by glyphs or sanctioned rites. As the language of the Vault takes on a life of its own, those once forgotten begin to reappear-not in body, but in story.
But not all memory returns with grace. Some rise sharp-edged, uninvited, speaking truths that fracture what's left of the old order. And as the sentence grows, it begins to ask a question no one is ready to answer:
What if the fire does not seek to protect what was?
What if it wants something else entirely?
