A young writer was bogged down in her home town and dealing with a dysfunctional family who dominated all her time and energy. When Alice set out on a journey to find peace and quiet, her adventure brought her to a small town at the foot of the Rockies. She purchased a house on the edge of town, packed up her belongings, and settled in to fulfill her dreams.Upon arrival, her house was horrid and grown up with vines and weeds. Nosey neighbors interrupted her daily. She was discouraged and questioning her decision until a local hunk who owned a landscape business brought some light into her dull life.Not really looking for love, she avoided entanglement in a relationship and tried to mind her own business and get on with her career. Her efforts were futile, she was getting nowhere with her writing. She finally decided to chill out and enjoy her new friends. Little did she know that this was going to land her in the middle of a local murder. A Native American man, with a five year old son, was the prime suspect in the murder case. With no one to turn to, he dumped his son off on Alice and headed for the hills. Just when she thought her life couldn't get anymore complicated, it did. This was not what she was looking for when she left home. How could everything she dreamed of spiral out of control in such a short time.She found the excitement of her new life was just what she needed to bring out her true self. Her writing was suffering, but for once in her life, she was happy. Would she be able to look back on this chaos and find some solace, or should she pack up and move back home?Would she be brave enough to take a chance on love, or let it pass by?
