This is the second in the series of stories covering the lives of Chief Detective Inspector Victor Moyes and his second in command Detective Sergeant Victoria Morgan and covers both their professional and private lives.Victor having led a bachelor life for twenty years was not comfortable in his handling of women and Victoria having broken up with yet another boyfriend used each other in order to satisfy their own ends. This inevitably led to a certain amount of conflict in both their working and private relationships. This was not helped by the fact that Victoria was brighter than Victor and was also able to extract more information from people than Victor could manage.
