Really liked this book. Does not contain a lot of boring, needless descriptions or thoughts, or a lot of cliches. Kids were adorable. You will like this one.
Maybe There Will Be a Family in Her Life, After All

Katherine Blake is a Methodist minister in the small town of Rosewood, Texas, scene of Ms. Winn's excellent inspirational romance "Promise of Grace" which inspired me to seek out and read this story. At times Katherine feels like a nun, especially when she meets men, because once they find out about her vocation, they get that look in their eyes as they back peddle. However, nuns by virtue of their vocation, have taken a vow of chastity. Katherine has not and she is hurt when men react around her the way they often do.Michael Carlson is raising his two children, David and Annie alone, has been for the last year and a half since his wife took ill and passed away. Michael is doing the best he can by his children, but he has a blind spot when it comes to God as he blames Him for his wife's death.Michael and Katherine meet during a supermarket accident, someone knocked down a display of canned goods and David, Annie and Annie's friend Tessa help put the display back together. Katherine is immediately taken by the children and their father, but like all the good men in town, she believes he is already taken.Katherine next sees Annie and Tessa at the beginning of her two week vacation Bible school class and is again impressed with them. At the end of the class, however, Michael shows up and he's not happy. Annie, he says, had no permission to go. He does not want God in his life or in the lives of his children. That night Annie is inconsolable. To stop her crying Michael relents and tells her she can go to the Bible school. What can two weeks hurt anyway, he thinks. Well a lot can happen in two weeks. One can never underestimate the power of that old devil attraction. Like that other book of Ms. Winn's, this is an excellent story and I highly recommend it.
