Father Gabriel Neville has everything going for him as vicar of St Anne's, Kensington Gardens: intellectual prowess, physical beauty, a happy family life and the prospect of promotion to Archdeacon.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I found it very refreshing and the author knows well the Anglican or Church of England liturgy. Excellent read and well thought out plot.
An excellent (non-murder) mystery!

What I liked most about this mystery is that Kate Charles doesn't confine herself to the murder mystery genre; the original mystery is, rather, about blackmail. (Though a dead body does eventually show up.) The first few pages are hard to get through, for in the beginning Father Gabriel Neville is not at all a sympathetic character. This book is full of Anglican "characters" who are flawed and therefore pretty believable and engaging. I look forward to reading the other David Middleton-Brown books!
