The aim for this research was to explore the purpose for counselling in the Christian church, and the role of psychology with this approach. Evidence shows that there is a variety of complex social and emotional problems which have infiltrated the church community. Some of those situations were self-inflicted because of man's godlessness, selfishness, and greed; and others might have been caused from other sources which are steeped in immorality and godlessness.
