A Distant Reality: Poems

Written over a lifetime of observing, feeling, and living, these poems arise from a rich creative bed of the wider realities we live within. We can have deeply mystical and mysterious experiences when encountering the everyday, from kittens and desert sunsets to dreams and intuitions.

I'm Marina Michaels, and I wrote these poems. I write most of my poetry through a cooperative, creative, two-way communication. A poem is conveyed to me in one form and then I translate it into another. On one end of that two-way communication is me, the poet. The other end is a creative source, which I don't venture to define beyond saying that it is vastly creative and immensely loving.

I'm a mystic, writer, artist, poet, mother, sister, daughter, friend, and compassionate lover of all that exists.
