A Deputy Sheriff's Childhood Dream

My purpose in writing this book was to share my experiences as a child growing up and the reason for wanting to be a police officer. Initially, the book was intended for my family, but I was encouraged by family members to publish the book for others to read. I wanted to give a close-up view of what it was like to be living a childhood dream.

I remember looking at my Uncle Don's scrapbook from WWII and other family pictures as a young child. I never had the opportunity to know most of my aunts & uncles or grandparents. There were no stories with the old family pictures, only my imagination of what it was like for them. I wanted to share my story with my children and grandchildren so they would have a story with our family pictures and scrapbooks from my military and law enforcement career.
