A Day at the Zoo in 2062 is a collection of fictional, comedic short stories. Comedian Daniel Eachus puts is clean and quirky comedy on full display with stories about online dating and the fear of being "catfished"; the four-part story of a ghost who gets stuck haunting a house that nobody lives in; drinking alcohol and how silly we look getting drunk at parties; mansplaining what the term mansplaining means; why a princess should never kiss a frog when she doesn't know where that frog has been; the irony of people who celebrate their healthy eating by treating themselves to junk food; and dozens of other stories, many of which involving plays on words, sarcasm, and a whole lot of irony. The 132-page book is also filled with illustrations by actor Diego Parada. Tasked with the job of accenting every story with his own visual take, Parada adds his own humorous spin. While the stories lean towards a dark, twisted sense of humor, the drawings air towards the goofy side of things.
