Jake received a call on his cell phone, standing in the airport, in Dallas. Sara, an airline ticket lady, happened to see Jake go to his knees in despair. Sara rushed to him and Jake was incoherent. She heard a voice on his phone shouting hello hello? Sara answered and learned Jake had just received bad news that his wife had been murdered. A Detective asked her to help Jake return to his home in Atlanta on the next available flight. Sara assured the detective, she would. Sara stayed with Jake escorting him to the gate of the next flight back to his home. As she seen him off and left for her home, She couldn't get him off her mind. Weeks later, Sara took some vacation time and went to Atlanta to visit with her sister. While in Atlanta, Sara found Jake's business card in her coat pocket, with Jake's phone number. Sara called to see how he was doing and was invited out for dinner that night. the killer of his wife was waiting for Jake to return to Atlanta, and was following Jake and Sara. the killer shot at Jake as they were leaving a steak house and would have killed Jake, but for Jake drove a bullet and bomb proof E-500 black Mercedes. The bullet only left a mark on his windshield. Jake chased the killer but lost him on the by pass around Atlanta. a few minutes later at a red light. The killer was now behind Jake and pushed Jake's car out into the middle of an intersection into fast heavy on coming traffic. A car plowed into the side of his car, but they wasn't hurt. Sara turned white as a ghost, having just been shot at, involved in a car chase, and been pushed into on coming traffic. Not one but three near death experiences. Jake and Sara go on the run. They stay together being chased by a killer not knowing who or why. It soon becomes apparent they are now joined at the hip by circumstances and a relationship grows between them.
