The apostle Paul encouraged us to think lovely thoughts in an effort to keep our focus on what is real, God's love. (Philippians 4:8)The 21st century world has wonders and technology beyond what Paul's generation could have imagined. We have access to instant information which is not always a good thing. If you get swallowed up by on-line communication, chances are you will not be persuaded to think lovely thoughts about yourself or fellow human beings. The hate-speak is vast and it feeds on itself as it grows, to our great detriment.Love-speak, on the other hand, requires effort to find and exhibit. We were created to be joyful. The joy is instilled in us, we are born with it, but our life experiences can bury it deep in the recesses of our heart. It takes love and courage to go mining for it and bring it out for a breath of fresh air.No one escapes the trials and burdens of life, no matter how charmed your life may be; if it is charmed at all.When we are born we're filled with love to light the world; and then the Tall Ones, without meaning to, drum it out of us. How do we get it back? By following the Light, of course Although you have been beaten down by disappointments, bad decisions, addictions, self-hate and a wagon full of soul sucking experiences, you can find your way out of the slime and into glory.In your darkest moments, during your loneliest times, you were never alone, you just thought you were. The greatest love in the universe, God's love, His support and comfort were always yours for the asking; you just forgot to ask because of the evil one who speaks lies to you on a daily basis.You've been allowed to go through your troubles to make you a better lover of yourself and others. Jesus came to teach us to love one another. What may sound like a tall order is quite doable with the help of the Holy Spirit.You don't have to settle living your life with a broken heart, a broken soul or a broken spirit.
