A is a writer who is stuck in a rut. In his life and in his work, he's lacking inspiration. Having left university in a mountain of debt, and no job prospects on his horizon for the life he wanted to live, he's run out of hope and options at the same time. Will it be the people in his life that will pull him back from the brink? However, things aren't plain sailing for the pair, because of their fundamentally antithetical beliefs. Aart, is an old friend from A's childhood who has moved back to town in the hope of creating his next big break with his oldest friend. As teens, they would spend most of their weekends writing songs and practising their verses, but as time went by and life got in the way they've drifted far apart. Different people now, they've reunited in an attempt to rekindle their lost inspiration, and Aart knows exactly where to look. All of this might just be enough to help A find his feet, but alas relationships are never simple, and the demons of the past begin to rear their ugly heads. It will be the battle he wages in his heart that will tell his ability to transcend the troubles of his mind. How will he reverse the downward spiral and live the life that he wants to lead? Luckily for A, everything begins to change when he meets someone new. Someone who will do whatever means necessary to get A back on track. Even if it means taking him by the scruff of his neck. A's life is about to change forever, and all it took was for A to meet B.
