Each poem in this collection has its subject based on metaphysics, which relates here to love, divinity, infidelity, corrupt practices in society, selfishness, education, humanity, Nature, and so on and so forth. The poetic diction is lucid and lyrical, but the tone is deep and didactic. Apart from the fact that no slavish adherence to the maintenance of metred verse has been followed, the lines in the poems sound musical. They are projected to bring harmony of ideas through an unhindered rise of thoughts in the heart, as provoked by consuming passion. Altogether, the poems are the wording of outpourings, presumably not pretending to go by any prescribed set of patterns, yet they may well claim to be one of the finest specimens on the poetic horizon.
