Best generic text on standards...

This book is written by the co-authors of ASCD's content standards for K-12 education. This book addresses the other side of the coin: performance standards. How shall we evaluate what children do in school? What can teachers do, as part of their standards, to help youngsters perform well?This is the best generic text in this area. The actual performance standards that you construct will be different--they will be your own--but this book will give teachers ways to begin implementing your standards.
