He taught the doctrines of grace and wrote against the Arminianism of John Wesley. He was awarded an Honorary degree by the University of Aberdeen and was the first theologian to publish a commentary on every book of the Old and New Testament scriptures.It is hoped that this publication will assist bible student to understand the teaching of Matthew and the doctrines of grace the gospel declares.
