A Comet's Tale

By J R Knight

This is the story of John Brown. In this version of his story, he is given the Ebenezer Scrooge treatment. It's like the Ghost of 19th Century Past, Present and Future give him a tour of what he sees as America's biggest ailment - and his role in curing it.

Through this perspective, the complicated history of the 19th Century comes into focus in unique ways. He runs into a who's who of prominent personalities of the day. He's like a real-life version of Forrest Gump or Leonard Zelig. His journey is full of surprising character connections. At times, it feels like the television show, Lost.

At times, history almost seems to have been written to be viewed from this lens. Almost designed to be fact checked. Inspire people to read history.
