Succinct and shallow but somewhat useful

The book is separated into two parts. The first part defines a Chinese stratagem based on ancient Chinese wisdom manifested by Chinese characters. The second portion focuses on what life situations one should use the stratagems. My main complaint is that the book is skimpy in content. I was able to read the entire book in less than an hour (I am a very fast reader). Each of 108 Chinese strategem has maybe 15-50 words describing its meaning. What is missing is a deep analysis and thoughtful articulation of each Chinese stratagem. Verbose this book is not. Still, I have found this book to be original. There aren't too many similar books in the market and I have found the information provided by the author to be intriguing and useful. Just don't expect this book to be a transcendental work on ancient Chinese wisdom.
