A multi-layered story

A City of Bells weaves a beautiful story with that intertwines the lives of several characters through plot, symbolism, poetic language, and a multi-layered redemption arc. War-wounded Jocelyn, two orphaned children, a missing literary genius, and, a bright and passionate actress. Where most books have a directional plot line that aims for a singular goal, A City of Bells is written more like a weaver assembling an intricate cloth. This book has become an old friend that I regularly return to when I need a read that's interesting and soul soothing. And I discover something new each time I read it.
