In 1989 I was pastoring a picturesque little New England church on Lake Winnipesaukee two hours north of Boston in beautiful Wolfeboro, New Hampshire when I wrote a simple kids Christmas story to read one Sunday morning to all the children during the cold winter season. With a gentle pure white snowfall covering the streets and sidewalks, every church window glowed with the warm flame of candles. It was there in the stillness of that little white clapboard church that A Christmouse Tale was born.
