I believe this book to be a fair and just look at the differences between Mormonism and mainstream Christianity. Within this book one will find information in arguement and defense of both sides. This book is very well written and quite an easy read. I very much enjoyed this book. Donna Morley stays on track and does not stray from the point of the book. The purpose of this book is to allow the reader to view information that they may then go and look up in its entirety with the provided verses in both the mormon books and The Bible and then be able to fairly form an opinion.
I Now Understand

Donna Morley's book is wonderful! I once was confused about Mormonism, but Donna Morley has taken away the confusion. She has also provided for me the Mormon mindset--why they think and believe the way they do. What I love most about this book is the fact sheet. I have always wanted to share Christ with my Mormon friends, and the missionaries at the door but I had many fears. My fears stemmed from my weakness of not being able to memorize scripture. How could I share with a Mormon if I can't even direct them to the right scripture verse in the Bible? Well, I don't have to worry any more. With the use of the fact sheet, I no longer have to try to memorize verses. Donna Morley has provided the scripture I need, and other points I can share with my Mormon friends and missionaries. For instance, Mormon missionaries will share that the Bible commands us to baptize the dead, and that we can become gods. They will even direct you to Bible verses to prove their point. Donna Morley shows us in her book how the Mormons are misinterpreting the scripture verses. As well, she guides us along--with the use of the fact sheet--helping us step by step and point by point--the scriptural truth we can give to our Mormon friend or missionary. While the entire book is a treasure, the book is worth buying if only the fact sheet was offered.
Explains the belief system

I loved this book because it clearly explained doctrine that the Mormon church adheres to from a caring perspective. Morley encourages readers to open up the doors to their Mormon friends and missionaries and better understand where they are coming from.
Thoroughly documented, yet "readable" with gentle questions!

I started recommending A Christian Woman's Guide to Understanding Mormonism before I finished reading it! (The disadvantage of doing it was that my friends wanted to take my copy immediately!) I really like the style. It feels like "light" reading, yet is as thoroughly documented as a research paper. It is a wonderful balance of suggestions for asking "gentle" questions of my Mormon friends and visitors, as well as the theological essentials with Bible references. The appendices could be published on their own! "A Comparison Between Mormonism and the Bible" is wonderfully concise, yet understandable. I am cutting out the "Mormonism Fact Sheet" so I can put it in my Bible!
Respectfully disagree with G. Jetson's review

Nowhere in Donna Morley's book does she blatantly say that "Mormons aren't Christians." This is what she does say:"...because a clear and correct understanding of the Bible and the gospel message can mean the difference between eternal life and eternal separation from God, we need to ask: 'Are there truly differences between Mormonism and biblical Christianity? Are Mormons really Christians? Are their doctrines really biblical? While they use the same words as we do, such as "born again", are their underlying definitions truly biblical?"....."Donna Morley goes on to say that A Christian Woman's Guide to Understanding Mormonism is not "in any way, shape, or form intended to be an attack on Mormons, to belittle Mormons, or to communicate an anti-Mormon attitude. Rather it's a book about loving the Mormons--loving them as we take the time to understand what they believe and how we can effectively reach out to them."I must not only respectfully disagree with G. Jetson that Mrs. Morley "doesn't know what she's talking about" but I have to question if G. Jetson really read her book. If he did he would have noticed the loving and sensitive approach Mrs. Morley takes towards key issues in Mormonism. G. Jetson would have also noticed that everthing Mrs. Morley covers, such as Mormon history, and Mormon doctrine, is backed up by original Mormon sources such as Mormon documents, Mormon diaries, Mormon scripture and Mormon theology books. Again, she used ALL original sources. In my opinion, Donna Morley has researched this field well. Anyone, including Mormons, who may not fully understand Mormon history or doctrines would benefit greatly from reading this book. I highly recommend it!
