A Cat Named George

To the casual observer, George was a normal, everyday cat.

If you never met him, you couldn't fully appreciate his charisma or his utter awareness. There were times when I was sure he was a human soul trapped inside a cat's body. He seemed to understand so much of what I said to him, and he took full advantage of my willingness to allow him to live his best life.

He started out as my son's cat, and I was instructed to leave him alone so my son could have a cat who loved him the most. Somehow, nothing went as planned. George accompanied me through some of the hardest days of my life, always being there to comfort me and help guide me through our journey.

As I eventually learned, I wasn't the only one who loved this handsome black panther. His life impacted many others, and his memory will forever continue in the hearts and mind of those who loved him.

A portion of the profits from this book will be donated to animal charities. Many of them will sponsor the adoptions of black cats, given in George's memory.
