Lady Arabella Stinkpot-Smyth has been captured by the unpleasant Giant Thrub, and imprisoned in a cave deep in the Scaramong Mountains. She manages to convey a message to her Great Great Grandmother (She's 104 you know), by carrier pigeon. When her old friend Doggone Trenchard hears of her incarceration he is determined to rescue her, and gathers around him a group of friends with the intention of scaling the mountains and effecting her release from the evil Giant's clutches. This daunting task takes the utmost skill and daring from the brave group, often helped but more often hindered by Doggone's old mate Stan Roberts (the author). Follow Doggone and his friends adventures as they attempt their audacious rescue attempt, and in the process meet some very strange characters and places indeed
