Reprint of 1590 edition, with 28 engravings by de Bry (from John White) of Indian villages, activities, dress, more. Great classic of Americana, fascinating for European image of America. "The Dover edition must rank as one of the finest achievements in reprinting to date." -- Reprint Bulletin.
As I indicated in my title this book is an excellent primary resource for historians or students studying history. While it can be annoying to read words spelled in the older manner once you become accustomed to the spelling the book is a great read and offers good insight into the minds of the early English explorers to the Americas. Obviously one should be wary that the original authors were writing to make themselves appear nobler and the Americas to seem more ideal.
