Hi, all you parents or friends who purchased this book for a little bootscooter-to learn a little about horses and, at the same time, have lots of fun. My name is Comet. I'm a Collie dog, and you will see and hear much about me in this book.

To begin with, let me tell you how all this came about.

It began thirty years ago when Chloe Gravelle, let's call her Miss Addie, was exhibiting rocking horses at fun places for kids. She approached Brooks Alden, let's call him Cowboy Brooks, for a giveaway flyer to accompany photographs of the kids as they strode from horse to horse.

It took thirty years; but one evening, Chloe's partner remarked, "Why don't you two write a book?" And here it is-A Bootscootin' Adventure-the first of many stories.
