A Book of Poems

INTRODUCTIONI decided to do a book of poetry. Over the years I've had the inclination to write in verse, and this small volume enables me to compile them here. Oftentimes, my mind wanders as I'm outside in nature, or just thinking about the world around me. While these messages are not in rhyme, or are typical-types of poems, the reader will find a wide variety of topics and concerns here. In the past writers such as Wordsworth and Longfellow, found inspiration in nature. I find that this also offers one a bounty of beauty and thought. But world events, and the times in which we live, are also of importance to me. These words in verse can't be compared to the great poets of the past, but they are my own, and as such, they embody my thoughts and wanderings. My hope is that the reader will find a timeless anecdote for the chaos and the confusion that is oftentimes found in our world. 12/23/15Stephen Hanson
