An autobiographical account of a French adventure. Moving to France in March 1990 was an exciting new start, full of hope and expectation, in a newly built house in the heart of the French countryside, surrounded by fields, woods and farmland. My life was perfect, but four years after arriving in France my idyll of tranquillity came to an abrupt end when my husband abandoned me and my children, leaving us destitute and eventually homeless. My survival instinct kicked in and my life became a plethora of eventful challenges and brushes with the French legal system which unleashed my inner rebel. Finally, destitute and desperate, I turned to a life of criminal activity in my fight for survival.
