Completely incorrect book was sent

I ordered the literary copy of this book and instead received a illustrated classic meant for children. This book was meant as an anchor supplement of a literary classic in a personal archive library and now I'm stuck with the children's book and now I'm stuck with the children's book. The inspected copy was anywhere between 3 and 400 pages and the copy I received was 46 pages

So glad I read this🥰📚

I only read page 2 and it seems that Matthew Culthbert is acting oddly according to this Rachel woman because he's dressed up and he's on his way out of Avonlea (assume where they live). He's shy and doesn't do well in social situations if I'm right and his behavior seems to be raising questions. When I got to page 4, nosy Mrs. Rachel stepped in the Cuthberts' home where she has spied 3 dinner plates on the table and i couldn't help but wonder if this was Anne's home. Matthew arrived at the Bright River Station where a child had been waiting for someone to accept her into their loving and beautiful world. This woman Marilla Culthbert had decided to let Anne stay with her and her brother. I think Anne's starting to grow on Marilla just like she grew on Matthew but Marilla's so stubborn that she won't (or doesn't know how to) open up to Anne. I only recognize Marilla as being stubborn because l'm stubborn when it comes to inviting people in my life and trusting them. So once again, I can relate to the characters.

Great Book

Arrived as described & the edition I wanted, wonderful book

Wonderful book!

I got a copy with a beautiful green cover. It’s a little ratty but still a gorgeous cover. Overall a wonderful purchase!!

Cottagecore, but I wanted more.

Maybe the book just isn’t for me. I liked it fine enough, it was pleasant and passed the time, but there wasn’t anything keeping me hooked on this book. I liked it, but that’s kind of all. The voice acting in the reading helped me not get too tired of Anne’s long speeches, so that’s good. It just felt like nothing happened except Anne talking. And I like Anne fine, but I wanted something more than that. Pleasant, well-written slice of life. If you’re looking for heartwarming and low stakes with lots of charming philosophizing, this is the book for you. :)

This version was cut down into a story book for young children. Big words and nice drawings but not what I wanted!

Every young girl(& old ones!)should read this wonderful classic. I think it is so essential for young girls to read books like this. It is a book you remember & hold dear all of your life.

I absolutely love this book! the characters are so fun to read about and I have learned so much from its messages. I really think everyone should read this, as it is truly heartwarming.

I have read this book many times. Anne is such a captivating girl! You will enjoy this book. The characters are so real. I just can't say enough about this book...It's one of my favorite books of all time--and I have read a lot of books! I recommend it to anyone, especially preteen and teenage girls.

AN ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY BEAUTIFUL,SUBTLE ROMANCE

I really don't know how I am going to review this book. Putting something so beautifully alive into cold, brutal words has never been my forte. It seemed committing some kind of sacrilege, but nevertheless I felt something of loyalty to do so. Basically this sweet, innocent tale is about an orphan girl- Anne Shirley and the countless scapes that she seems to have a talent for getting into. Her beautiful, friendship with Diana Barry, friend, not to mention enemies at school, especially a certain significant one- Gilbert Blythe whom she will share a very special comradeship with and later on in life become his wife. This classic also tells about her wonderful flights of fancy, and the many enchanting places where she and Diana often build castles in the air. This touching, heartwarming tale has been spun so cleverly that Anne and her successors really do live! I can live and relive Anne's world over and over again, not once finding it tiresome. This beautiful, timeless classic is naturally the masterpiece of the Dreamer of Dreams- Lucy Maud Montgomery, whom I sincerely admire, for as she says " For things seen pass away, but the things that are unseen are eternal" Anne of the Island
