The big picture

This book is not a good introduction into the 9/11 controversies, set-ups and cover-ups. It is a rather confusing mix of genuine evidence, pure speculation and blatant disinformation. An eminent analysis of the 9/11 attacks are the works of David Ray Griffin. However, this book contains excellent graphic material (contradicting the official version of the facts) and sketches a good overall framework (`the big picture'). On our planet, the top third of its inhabitants enjoy a relative prosperity often based on overwork, while the rest lives in traditional poverty or in a real living hell. Within the top third, a plutocracy, a Global Dominance Group of some 200 people (P. Phillips), pulls the strings in the ongoing fight for wealth and power in the western world, helped by governments, the media conglomerates and the military and intelligence communities controlled by it. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the oligarchy needed a new enemy for the consolidation and the expansion of its power base. Communism was replaced by terrorism. Ian Henshall sees the `war on terror' as a tactical weapon in the fight for the extension of the wealth and power of the plutocrats. After the 9/11 attacks centuries-old democratic rights were hollowed out. The presidential power was enhanced by giving the president the right to override the Constitution in times of war (on terror). But, the author also sees a Washington oligarchy confronted with a crisis of unpopularity. Moreover, only 16 % of the US population believes the entire official version of the 9/11 massacre. He rightly calls for a major criminal investigation by an independent Criminal Commission of all aspects of the events. For an in depth analysis of the big picture, I recommend the works of Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed, Peter Dale Scott, Webster Griffin Tarpley, Michel Chossudovsky and Barry Zwicker. This book is a very worthwhile read for all those who want to understand the world we live in.

Decent reference overview for questioning 9/11 facts

If you read this book, it reads more or less like a "fact book" or reference book. It summarizes the entire 9/11 ordeal from its origins in Afghanistan to present day and questions about what we don't know from the Official 9/11 Commission Report. The book does raise a lot of interesting questions that have not been answered. However, these same questions are also in other 9/11 books. I thought the book was OK but I felt that it did not elaborate on a lot of areas that perhaps the novice reader would not know about or question making it look like it was an easily debunkable work. I recommend that one reads a detailed book about 9/11 and the questions left unanswered like- Debunking 9/11 Debunking and use this to brush up on their facts afterward. Overall though, it was decent and with cool color pictures.
