Complete, Fun And Informative Guide For Parents To Be

This is a fantastic and very comprehensive book. With 60,000 names(complete with origins and derivations) and 200 creative lists you are sure to find that perfect baby name and be happily overwhelmed in the process. Including chapters on modern trends in baby naming, how names shape our lives and tips for naming your baby this is an invaluable book. There are also worksheets, note pages, thousands of classic and traditional names and of course the fun lists which include the truly unique. Unlike all the prospective parents purchasing this book I actually bought this as a writer's tool. To help me find that perfect character name and in that regard this book is perfect. My favourite section would have to be the informative and fun series of lists which includes; Powerful names, names for athletes, daredevils, achievers, that get shortened, that make kids feel weird, smart kids, vegetarians, soap opera stars, future truck drivers, cops, gymnasts TV anchors, chefs, country & western singers, the strangest, most exotic, hippie sounding and biblical. There are also several ethnic lists from around the world with Arabic, French, Russian, Asian and everything in between and also the most popular names from the 1800's to present. Even as a non-parent I found this book to be surprisingly interesting, very informative and I had a lot of fun reading it. I can highly recommend it to all you lucky mummies and daddies out there.
