To some, recovery through addiction feels like a perpetual

game of duck-duck-goose, where sometimes the addict is the sitting duck and other times they are the running goose.

Or is it just a game of pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, where the blindfold makes you guess to what the point of it all is?

'56 Notes in a Notes App' tells one personalized rendition of the infinite ways that addiction and recovery may express itself, acknowledging the experiential coupling of despair and humor that one might gather amidst the crusade to meaning. The personally-told ramble of Christian's human passage through time tells the story of how 'true' meaning sometimes exists in a cyclical nature of being lost, regained, and then lost again.

The charge is led by the addict's desperate imagination to find value, voiced by how 'figuring it out' might sound. A summer of trying to wrangle meaning provides the timescale for an attempt to siphon silver-linings from a life infiltrated by vices.

Allegorical, despicable, comical, not meaningful, but maybe a little bit, and hopefully not relatable.
