Very Worthwhile Book

This book is so effective in covering questions about death and the future from the Christian perspective. Biblical evidence is sighted to support information provided. I have bought several copies and shared throughout my family since we just lost our 88 year old mother and our father is presently 91. A great book to share with children as well as adults in providing answers and preparing all of us for death. I highly recommend it!

Answers complex questions with precision

The thought of death fills many Christians and nonbelievers with fear, that they try to avoid thinking or talking about the topic altogether. But sooner or later, everyone must face death. So, what happens after we die? In this slim volume, Mark Hitchcock offers an enlightening view of life after death. In 55 short chapters, Hitchcock, a pastor and prophecy expert, examines questions most people have asked at some point: What is death? Where do people go when they die? What is heaven like? Throughout the book, Hitchcock uses Scripture references to answer the questions he poses. Hitchcock does not pull any punches in addressing his topics, particularly heaven and hell. "In Matthew 25:46, both heaven and hell are described as `eternal,'" Hitchcock writes. His answers are in-depth, but not preachy, and many of the book's chapters seldom extend beyond three pages. 55 Answers to Questions about Life After Death is a fast-paced, easy-to-read volume that readers will find difficult to put down. Hitchcock's book will undoubtedly jar some readers, but it will do so while answering complex questions with precision. -- James Hendrix, Ph.D., Christian Book Previews.com
