However, Mr Roden began writing (by pursuing sentence appeals and prisoner civil rights) after his brother died in a Michigan prison in 2007.Mr Roden is currently enrolled in Jackson Colleges, Corrections Education Program and is set to graduate with a business degree in 2020. Upon his release Mr Roden will return to his home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, pursue a career as a Prison Ministry Coordinator, and attend Law School. His date of release is 2022 but his sentence is currently up for commutation.
