414 Haiku Poems Written by an Autistic Writer and Creator

If our thoughts could speak, they would compose haiku.
The Japanese people have always been able to express their thoughts in the most elegant of ways. From the succinct and meaningful haiku poems to the forms of visual art that depict universes of emotion through a few simple strokes of color, Japan is the home of saying a lot while seeming to say little.
This book contains many haiku poems that are written by me. A longtime autism warrior, I have always yearned for my thoughts to be given voice, but I was never able to find a medium that spoke to me till I encountered haiku in a compendium of world poetry.
I fell in love.
As an autistic person, someone on the spectrum, I am unable to connect emotionally with the ease that most people can. I use haiku to write out all the pain and anguish that live inside me, so that I can truly be myself and share the beauty in my soul with the other wonderful souls out there.
To all those who are like me, who live with autism, I say: search for the same happiness that I found within haiku. Art is our window to soar free on the wings of doves and angels.
