The main purpose of the extra-large book size is to provide the solver with large, clear and easy to read puzzles. The Jigsaw Sudoku Puzzles in the Hard Sudoku series of books require advanced solving techniques. Jigsaw Sudoku follows the same rules as a regular Sudoku puzzle with one exception, in Jigsaw Sudoku the 3 x 3 Square boxes are replaced with irregular 9 cell shapes. In my classic Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles, the grid is 9 cells wide and 9 cells deep. The lines of squares running horizontally are called rows, and the lines running vertically are called columns. The grid is further divided by thicker lines into irregular shaped boxes that all contain 9 cells. The aim of the puzzle is to fill the blank cells with the correct numbers. Each row, column and irregular shape must end up containing all of the numbers from 1 to 9.
