Toosi corresponded with Sadr al-Din Qunawi, the son-in-law of ibn Arabi. It appears, however, Toosi was not well absorbed in the conversation. Composing his own manual of philosophical mysticism in Awsaf al-Ashraf, Toosi assumed that Sufism so propagated by the masters of his time could not compel his attention.
