"My mind is a desert I cannot escape."

Kent Strickland is going into the high Colorado mountains to die. Despair and guilt haunt his every waking moment after losing his daughter in a tragic accident. Oblivion is the only answer he can imagine to end his suffering. Yet the isolated wilderness offers healing and hope, if Kent can overcome the darkness he carries within him. And resist the darkness that wants to claim him...

40 Days is a story of one man's struggle with unimaginable shame and learning to trust in God. To allow himself to be healed and forgiven. Choosing light, life, hope, and love.
