Magic squares are an excellent tool for children to practice addition and logical thinking. This is a version of the magic square. In the standard problem, the amounts surrounding the grid are consistently 15. However, that restricts the number of magic riddles one may create. The sums in this game are not always 15. How do you use a magic square? Each square requires you to write a different number. The numbers 1 through 9 must be used for a 3 by 3 grid. As the numbers are printed all around the problem, the sum of the numbers in the rows, columns, and diagonal has to match. Recall that each number in the puzzle may only be used once.
