Simple and to-the-point

The reason I like this book is because it gives me just what I want to know, no more, no less. So many books on houseplants go overboard with information and it just gets overwhelming to read through all that stuff. If I could change one thing, I would give two pictures of each plant instead of one: one close up and one further away, to give a better idea of what the plant really looks like if you're not familiar with it. Bottom line, though, if you are just getting into houseplants, this will give you just what you need without overwhelming you. Good plant choices, concise info., helpful tips.

Keeping them alive!

I'm new to gardening indoors and outdoors, but I am truly trying to learn without getting too scientific. I see it as a hobby, not a vocation simply because its nice to have plants you like scattered around your house and home. This book helped me a lot. If you're a novice or know one, it makes a great gift.
