It names 49 places across 80 dated entries. Alongside the daily entries the volume carries six casualty and personnel returns and three reports, narratives and plans. Among the papers are: Casualties Appendix I 13th-24th Novr. 1916; Estimated casualties Up to 12 Noon 13th April 1917 Appendix a; Officer casualties Appendix B; Administrative Arrangement (Reference 37th Divl. operation order no. 40 of 13/10/16).; Administrative Arrangements (Reference 37th Divl. operation order No. 40 of 13/10/16). The diary opens at Tilques on 1 August 1915. 1915 is spent at Caestre, Doullens, Tilques, Renescure and In Trench Warfare. 1916 at Bavincourt, Lucheux, Marieux, Bruay and Barlin. 1917 at Scherpenberg Near La Clytte, Lestrem, St Jans Cappel, Dranoutre and Lignereuil. 1918 at Blaringhem, Chateau-Segard, Authie, Henu and Couin. It closes at Henu on 30 June 1918. Bavincourt is where it spent longest, 91 days across five separate stays, it came back to Lignereuil six separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 63 days at Scherpenberg Near La Clytte. Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Trench Warfare. In 1916 it is also recorded at Lignereuil, Bryas, Orton, Camblain L'Abbe, Roellecourt, Lecauroy, Hedauville, Forceville, Frohen-Le-Grand and Flers. In 1917 it is also recorded at Noeux-Les-Mines, Norrent Fontes, Roellecourt, Agnez-Les-Duisans, Etrun, Arras, Warlus, Bomy, Steenbecque and Locre. In 1918 it is also recorded at Westoutre, Toutencourt, Souastre, Cavillon and Wailly.
