High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The 36 Specjalny Pulk Lotnictwa Transportowego 36 SPLT (English: 36th Special Regiment of Aviation Transport) is a special aviation regiment of the Sily Powietrzne Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, established in 1945. All of its aircraft are for national public use, the most important being transport of Polish politicians and MON highest officials forces commanders. It is headquartered at the 1st Air Base at Warsaw Fr d ric Chopin Airport (formerly Okęcie) and during its history the regiment had amongst its soldiers the most distinguished and able Polish pilots of the Polish Air Force, eg Maj. Arkadiusz Protasiuk, who flew Tu-154M in a 10-hour flight from Haiti to Poland with a broken autopilot in 2010, a feat few pilots flying 80 tons machines can demonstrate.
