The Poets: Jacquie Bellon, Liz Collins, and Kate Dwyer have been writing together for twenty-some odd years. Three good friends with three distinct voices.

The Prompt: A few words or a phrase chosen by one of us on any given day. It is not a topic, rather a starting place. The prompt can lead you anywhere, to the past, to the future, to the world around you and in you. Any style, any length.

The Poems: We learned about "a poem a day" from our friend, the poet Molly Fisk. We pick a prompt a day for a week (or two or four) and write a poem each day with a new prompt. Ten years of this and you have a pile of paper destined for trash or treasure. Then the sifting begins. The poems and prompts are winnowed, trimmed, or tossed, staying true to the basic bones and inspiration.
