Simple is why it is effective

I disagree that this book is too simplistic. I am teaching this book to a Wednesday night Bible Study of life long Christians. We are using this book as a foundation to grow on. Last week one of the ladies said, "It is good to go over the things we were taught as a kid, but then never heard about them again." I figure, by using this book we are going through the entire Bible, all of the "necessary" story lines, the geography, the historical eras, main characters, and outline in 12 weeks. After this foundational class the Wednesday night Bible studies will build off of this. For example if I am teaching about Nehemiah next, my class will hopefully say, "Oh yeah, I remember him, he lived during the Return Era we learned about. They will remember the basics of Nehemiah and we can build off of that knowledge. We are excited to get back to the basics and learn the sturcture of God's Word!

Couldn't say it clearer

If you are new to the Bible, or if you are an old scholar, this book is for you. It provides a clear chronlogical order, explains some of the most complex issues of the Bible in the simpliest terms without losing any of the Godly inspiration of the Bible. As a pastor with a Ph.D. in Biblical studies, I must highly recommend this book. It would also be great as a textbook for a college Bible course.

This book has helped many in our church!

We use this book as our guide in our Sunday school class. It's called Bible 101. This book has helped me and others finally understand things in the Bible that we never have before! I recommend this book to anyone who would like to understand more about the Bible and even for people who think they know a lot about the Bible. Everyone benifits from this book!

Refreshing new approach to an age old topic

Max Anders does a tremendous job of boiling down what's important into a memorable format for any and all Bible students. This book serves as an excellent guide for a new believer's Bible study.
