The Third Book of Enoch (Hebrew Enoch), or "The Book of Palaces," is an ancient Jewish mystical composition. Though named after Enoch, it was not written by the biblical Enoch himself. He is the main character in a story of Rabbi Ishamel's ascent to the divine Merkavah throne, but not the author. After analyzing medieval manuscripts, scholars estimate the text's composition to be sometime after the sixth century CE. This new translation presents the ancient, reconstructed text in modern, easy-to-read English.
