A nice read.

I think this is what you call "literary" fiction. Each word has been chosen with care, and I suspect it took the author many years to write. It tells a tale of two girls growing up together each in their dysfunctional families. Both have had felt a mother's rejection, and they bond almost instantly at school at thirteen, and carry on a life of total commitment to one another even when they are separated they continue to communicate between letters. It's a slow read at times, and I did have trouble sticking with it but I'm glad I did. It's a story which spans 40 forty years and one which will make you smile, laugh, cry and turning the page until the end.

"C. A. Morgan is a Master Wordsmith."

After reading a few pages into this novel, "2 Friends 4 Ever: A Journey to Reunion," I felt something was unusual. Then I realized what it was that was remarkable, the writing was crystal clear. It was like the perfect 'ping' you hear when you tap a genuine crystal glass with your finger nail. C. A. Morgan is a master wordsmith who uses the right words to express the thoughts, feelings and enduring friendship of her two main characters, Ann Monroe and Sue Richardson. The subject matter is sometimes difficult to read, because it's not a charmed fairytale. It deals with real life situations and doesn't glamorize them. There are many obstacles that these two characters must overcome, but their everlasting friendship is both poignant and heartfelt. I honestly thought the book was fascinating and a great read. C. A. Morgan is assuredly an astounding new voice in women's fiction.

True friendship tells that every obstacle can be conquered

C.A. Morgan's literary piece of two teenagers that have their familial turmoil paints a realistic story about our daily lives and the struggles most young people face. 2Friends 4Ever will put the reader to constantly ask themselves what it would be like if they had to face problems in marriage, finance, and other problematic situations. Ann Monroe and Sue Richardson are both true friends, each deciding differently on the path of life they want to take and each deal with the consequences for their actions. The book engages young readers in particular to think twice about what lessons they experience in life and hopefully prevent mistakes from happening rather than learn the hard way. Though it seems like a narrative life story with little dramatic scenes or a central climax, it was an enjoyable read. In a rather simplistic plot, this book makes up for that by creating dynamic characters - each with different personalities and moral choices that makes the plot diverse and the reader curious to know what would happen next. However, the ending could have been improved by telling what each character ultimately does for a living. Many characters, in particular, seem to change little over time, especially Sue's brother who is always an alcoholic. 2Friends 4Ever is a book worthwhile picking up, especially for young readers or people not exposed to the struggles of American lifestyle. The book requires a level of patience due to its extensive plot but the effort is worthwhile. It is not the typical story that has a happy-ending but one that lets the reader often ponder the question: "What is it that I want in life to keep me happy?"

Not your ordinary friendship story

2Friends 4Ever: A Journey to Reunion This is a really unique story that spans decades and discusses the trials and tribulations as well as the joys and celebrations that the two main characters have been through. This is autobiographical and has a discussion about some of the things that many people with rare diseases have to go through.
