Through his diary Eric recounts his efforts to deal with the impossible Year 9s, entertain his demanding Year 10s and inspire future generations with passion, wisdom and occasional sarcasm. If that wasn't enough, he also needs to try and avoid having a love life, drink less coffee and desperately pray that his beloved Sunderland AFC won't be relegated... again.
