Women with natural hair have experienced a great deal of pain. This pain has been caused by external forces. Such forces include bullying, discrimination in the work environment, and negativity because of their natural hair. Such pain causes low self- esteem, lack of confidence, and low self- worth. I have been there before. But that was then. This is now. Now I want African American women who have experienced such to know they are not alone. I want women with natural hair to know their hair is worthy. Natural hair has value, meaning, and is worthy. Natural hair is good hair. The words of my book will inspire women to overcome hair hatred and embrace proper hair care.
