"2084" is the chronicle of a foretold death: that of our society as we know it today. The novel follows the adventures of two young individuals who manage to escape in the spring of that year from an oppressive underground society created in Barcelona due to the impossibility of living on the surface because of the harmful effects of solar rays, leading to the collapse of that society. A crucial element in the story is also a spaceship that has housed around five thousand people for the past 30 years, since the planet became uninhabitable. It is a novel classifiable as Cli-fi, climate fiction, delving into the emotions of the protagonists and their struggle for survival. It also aims to pay homage to Manuel de Pedrolo and his "Mecanoescrito del segundo origen" and to George Orwell and his "1984."
