In the year of our lord and saviour Brexit and following four years of bitter political fights about reality and our future, It was meant to be the year we moved forward with our divorce and into blissful sovereignty. Instead, a silly little virus swept over the planet like the first horseman of the apocalypse bringing along his three cousins- insanity, paranoia and corruption. From toilet rolls to toppling statues, from fighting infinite boredom and existential crisis number 54 to clapping for NHS workers. We ate out to help out in summer so we could be boarded up for the long, cold winter alone.
