2020 Shift: Prayer. Pandemic. Praise

January 1, 2020 was a new beginning in my life and ministry. This would be the year to celebrate 38 years of marriage to my amazing husband, Hue Barrett, Jr. and 40 years of ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Little did I know that this would be the year that stretch my faith and expand the borders of ministry beyond my wildest imagination.This book highlights some of the life changing events of 2020. Sermons, poems and questions for reflection are included to engage, inspire and challenge the reader. Each person is encouraged to tell your story. It is important to write your own story instead of allowing others who have only a casual acquaintance to portray your life as insignificant and your contributions as not worthy of notice. It is my desire that as you read 2020 Shift that you will enhance your prayer life; serve others even in the midst of a global pandemic; develop a continuous attitude of praise and share what the Lord has done for you.
